RAM 1500 LED Door Sill Plates: DT vs DS, Finish and Fitment
Choose RAM 1500 door sill plates by body generation first. RAM 1500 DS covers the 2009–2018 catalogue path; RAM 1500 DT covers 2019–Present. The two exact Matte PRO products used in this guide share the RAM 1500 artwork, but their vehicle ranges are different.

The exact RAM 1500 artwork
Both products use the RAM 1500 design. The catalogue images show the two-piece FRONT arrangement, with RAM 1500 lettering and white illumination on a black Matte PRO plate. The DT doorway render uses the same DT product record and artwork, so the hero and the link below point to one exact listing.
Keep the artwork attached to its product record. The DS and DT links look similar because the design is the same; the generation range is what separates their fitment paths.

What Matte PRO means on these products
Painted stainless-steel upper plate
The product records describe a painted stainless-steel upper plate. Matte PRO combines that surface with the edge construction described on the same product pages.
Body-colour ABS edge
The edge uses ABS in the chosen body colour. The listed body choices are BLACK, WHITE, RED, GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE and ORANGE.
Top-surface illumination
Only the RAM 1500 lettering and decorative lines on the top surface illuminate. The colour-matched edge and lower surface remain unlit, which is the controlled light behaviour shown in the DT visualization.
Independent light choice

Choose the plate set before installation

- FRONT: two front plates. This is the arrangement shown in both current RAM 1500 catalogue images.
- FRONT+REAR: two front and two rear plates. Choose it when you want all four listed positions and the selected product supports those positions.
Confirm the selected set on the live product page. The catalogue images illustrate the plate design and arrangement; the vehicle and order record determine the set you buy.
Run the fitment check in this order
- Identify DS or DT. Confirm the body code from the vehicle details, then check the listed year range. Do not identify the body generation from the year alone.
- Match the artwork. Confirm that the product says RAM 1500 and that the catalogue image matches the design you want.
- Choose the set. Select FRONT or FRONT+REAR only after deciding which threshold positions you need.
- Check the threshold. The records say dimensions are selected for the vehicle during manufacture. Check the prepared metal threshold area and the available plate outline before fitting the adhesive-backed plates.
- Plan the wiring. Wiring is required. Connect to a vehicle circuit activated when the door opens; the product records do not include a factory plug-and-play connector.
