A black sill stays visually quiet beside dark trim. White ACURA lettering changes the focal point when the light comes on—without lighting up the edge.

With the light off, the lettering remains visible against the black plate. Switch to white illumination and the wordmark becomes the accent. The body, edge and lower surface stay unlit.
