Mounting & installation

Mounting depends on the design: metal-threshold sills and OEM-style G05 inserts for inner plastic trim are both represented. Use the mounting and electrical instructions supplied for your chosen kit.

How do I check whether the dimensions will work?

Compare the dimensions in the chosen product listing with the usable flat area on your vehicle. A matching model name is not a size check. If measurements are missing or unclear, send us the product link, your measurements and a photo before ordering.

How do I choose the right X5 generation?

Confirm your vehicle’s generation and model year, then use E53, E70, F15 or G05 above. Check the year and trim information in the individual listing too; a collection does not guarantee compatibility with every trim.

Where can I get help with installation?

The requirements depend on the kit and mounting surface. If the product instructions leave a question about your vehicle, send us a photo of the sill area for advice before installation.
