Entry, footwell, console and cargo lighting solve different problems. Choose the job first, then verify the vehicle access, switching event and product type for that zone.
Entry
Illuminated door sills define the threshold when the door opens. Use the exact model and body listing; the examples below are vehicle-specific entry products.

Footwell

Use exact entry examples

Plan brightness and control together
Write down when each zone should switch on and off before buying hardware. Entry lighting should follow the door event described by the exact sill product. Footwell and console lighting need a separate plan that avoids constant glare. Cargo light should illuminate the load area rather than the rear glass.
- Name the zone and the switching event before choosing hardware.
- Compare the exact vehicle, generation, body style, year and plate count on an entry-sill listing.
- Keep wiring serviceable and clear of seat tracks, sharp metal, airbag connectors and moving trim.
- Do not use a generic article to select a vehicle wire or assume a similar SUV image proves compatibility.
