LED License Plate Badge Not Working? What to Observe Before Support

Start with the order

Before attempting a repair, record the badge design, Standard Logo or Custom Logo selection, lighting option, product link, order number and delivery date. Compare the delivered artwork with the approved order. A wrong design, wrong lighting option or different badge can look like an electrical fault.

Listings state that an electrical connection is required and that mounting uses two or four screws depending on the installation. They do not provide one universal voltage, fuse location, wire colour, connector or vehicle connection point.

Describe what you see

  1. Write one sentence such as no visible light on first test, only part of the design illuminates, or the light stopped after later use.
  2. State when you first noticed the symptom and whether it appeared before or after installation.
  3. If the entire badge lights but phone control fails, use the supplied Flow instructions and record the phone, app and failed control step separately.

Describe the result rather than diagnosing it. The lower strip stayed dark gives support an observation; a claim that the controller is burned out does not establish the cause.

Make only visible, non-invasive checks

  • With vehicle power off, inspect the face, lower edge, screw heads, plastic caps and visible wiring without removing trim or opening the badge.
  • Take one full photo, close photos of the artwork and lighted strip, and a short video if it can be made without touching the wiring.
  • Keep the product, packaging and supplied instructions available.

Stop if the next step would require opening the badge, probing a wire, changing a fuse, connecting another power source or moving a mounting point. Ask a qualified installer or support team to identify the vehicle-specific action.

Send a support handover

Use the contact page and include the order number, exact product link, approved design and lighting option, installation status, symptom, date first observed and photos or video. If a professional installed it, include their observation in their own words. For the product reference, see the Audi Four Rings LED License Plate Badge.
