Mark the Lit and Unlit Areas in a Custom Door Sill Proof
Ask for a proof that separates the finished surface from the areas that will illuminate. A colored mockup can otherwise make a painted body, a reflected glow and a lit letter look like the same manufacturing instruction.
Start with the correct material
The Mustang S550 Running Horse Matte PRO listing states that the logo and top light bars illuminate while the sides do not emit light. Its Stainless counterpart describes illumination through the logo, top bars and side edge. A custom artwork request must preserve the confirmed construction of the selected product.
Do not ask a renderer to add a glowing perimeter to Matte PRO simply because it looks dramatic. Likewise, do not remove a confirmed Stainless edge-light feature while treating the image as an accurate product proof.
Use a three-part legend

Use different labels or patterns on the approval drawing. The legend is a communication tool; it is not a technical mask for changing the product’s construction.
Review an unlit and a steady-light view
Check that the body retains its material appearance when the light turns on. Inspect each intended letter and bar for the correct shape. If a design contains an opening inside a letter, ask how the approved artwork represents that opening; do not fill it just to make a brighter picture.
Keep the product outline, length-to-width proportion and placement unchanged between the two views. A moving or enlarged outline can hide a change to the physical product.
Approve Flow only within the same zones
Where the selected product supports Flow, the changing light belongs to its intended LED areas. An animated preview should not recolor the metal body, seat, weather seal or car paint. A preview describes appearance; it does not demonstrate a particular controller preset or phone function.
Write any disagreement next to the affected area and ask LDS to confirm the corrected proof. Keep the material, artwork revision and light option together in the approval, so a lighting edit does not turn into an unintended surface change.
