A material comparison is useful only when it distinguishes general market categories from the products actually published in this store.
What each category changes
Exposed stainless steel
Provides a bright metallic face and visible brushing. Edge treatment, plate thickness and artwork construction still matter.
Coated steel
A coating changes color and reflection. Matte PRO is the store’s black matte finish on the corresponding metal geometry; it does not permit a different shape.
Aluminum
Aluminum is a separate material category used by some accessories. Do not infer its construction or availability from a stainless product page.
Acrylic
Acrylic can be used in illuminated components, but a photo alone does not establish the full plate material, durability or installation method.
Ask about construction, not just a material name
A useful listing should make the visible face, base structure, illuminated insert and installation method understandable. Ask whether the plate is an overlay or an OEM insert, how many pieces are included, where the cable exits, and which surface carries the artwork. A material label alone does not answer those questions.
Care also follows the actual finish. Lift grit before wiping. Do not use metal polish on a powder-coated face, and do not assume an acrylic-safe cleaner is suitable for adhesive, paint or trim.
