Which Logo File Is Final? A Version-Control Method for Custom LED Artwork

Choose one final artwork file and approve it with the product specification. When a chat contains several similar images, “use the last one” can leave room for misunderstanding. A short revision record makes the intended design explicit.

Name the file for the decision

Use a clear file name such as club-wordmark-rev03-approved.pdf. That is a naming example, not a required manufacturing format. Ask LDS which file format it can use for your design. Keep the original artwork alongside the reviewed proof; avoid overwriting both with the same filename.

The BMW M3 badge listing offers Standard Logo and Custom Logo. It describes review of final artwork and placement before making. The custom choice is therefore a useful point to agree on the final revision, not permission to assume every attached image will be combined.

Record the changes in words

Revision Change Approval
01 Initial wording and layout Review only
02 Corrected spelling; no material change Superseded
03 Final spacing and light-area proof Confirm with LDS

These are sample entries. Use the actual changes for your order. If a revision changes a letter, punctuation mark or symbol, write the new text in the message as well as attaching the image.

Approve the design and the product separately

Write the product link, Standard or Custom choice, LED option and exact wording next to the final file name. For a door sill order, add the vehicle/body, material and selected set. A new logo file does not change those selections by itself.

State which version is superseded and ask LDS to confirm the revision it will make. Keep that reply with the order confirmation. If production has already begun, request a change before sending another file; do not assume a new attachment replaces an approved production record.

Keep the approval readable

A practical final note says: “Please use revision 03 for the artwork. Text is CLUB 27, with one space and no period. The product and light option remain as confirmed. Please confirm before making.” Replace the example with your own wording and wait for the relevant confirmation.

This method prevents competing instructions. It does not establish a supported font, a minimum line thickness or a manufacturing tolerance; the reviewed product proof must settle those details.
