Planning a Door Sill Project Around Production and Delivery
Plan an LED door sill project in three stages: production, delivery and installation. The shipping estimate covers the first two. It does not reserve an installer or guarantee arrival before a car show, birthday or trip.
Read the two clocks separately
The published LDS shipping page currently estimates 9–12 business days for production after payment and 12–16 business days for delivery after dispatch. It gives an estimated total of 21–28 business days from payment. These figures are estimates, not a guaranteed arrival date.
Business days and calendar days are different planning units. Do not turn the total into “three weeks” or assume dispatch happens on the payment date. Ask for clarification if an approval change or a destination-specific issue could affect your order.
Book work against a received, checked kit
For a Grand Cherokee WL set, your installer needs the selected Front or Front + Rear configuration, the vehicle details and the supplied instructions. Receiving tracking information does not confirm that the parcel contains every selected component or that the kit has passed a dry fit.
- Before ordering, resolve the vehicle, set, artwork and light selection.
- After dispatch, follow the tracking record; the first carrier update may take time.
- On receipt, compare the kit with the approved order before fitting it.
- Confirm the installation appointment once the parts and vehicle-specific plan are ready.
Keep shipping charges separate from import charges
LDS currently states free worldwide shipping and a route from Ukraine via Poland. It states that import duties are covered by LDS for US deliveries only. For Canada and other destinations, duties, taxes and customs charges remain the customer’s responsibility. A free shipping charge does not establish duty-free delivery everywhere.
If the date matters, ask a date-specific question
Give support your destination and the date you need the completed installation. Ask whether the current estimate leaves a workable margin. Avoid paying an installer a nonrefundable appointment fee on the assumption that the upper estimate is a promised deadline.
If a parcel is late, use the policy’s delivery support process. The current returns page asks customers to contact LDS within seven days after the expected delivery date so the carrier can investigate. A delayed parcel or one awaiting customs clearance is not automatically a confirmed lost shipment.
