Flow on Door Sills and a Badge: Keep the Control Records Separate
Two Flow products can look like one lighting idea in a build plan, but each item remains its own accessory. The selected Mustang S550 Matte PRO sill listing offers FLOW in its highlight selector. The BMW M3 badge listing offers Flow RGB and says its control uses a phone app over Bluetooth with no handheld remote. Those facts support two Flow choices, not a promise that the devices synchronize.
Write two order rows
Keep one row for the sill and one for the badge. Record the product ID, exact URL, artwork, finish, set, body or highlight fields, selected Flow option and the control language shown on that page.
- Mustang S550 Matte PRO, product ID 9049391202461: Running Horse artwork, FRONT set and FLOW in COLOR HIGHLIGHT.
- BMW M3 LED badge, product ID 10314419011803: Standard Logo or Custom Logo, Flow RGB and a below-plate badge format.
Do not shorten both records to “Flow RGB.” The sill page may use a different control description from the badge page. Keep the wording and any supplied controller label attached to the correct item.
Plan the physical locations separately
The sill belongs to the vehicle entry area and needs its own vehicle-specific product record and mounting review. The badge sits below a license plate and is not a full frame. A matching color idea does not make the mounting, wire route or power connection shared. Sketch each location, the visible product, the lead route and the access needed for testing.
Do not connect one device to the other or assume that one controller can drive both. Ask the installer to follow each product’s instructions and to identify a suitable connection for that item. The pages’ Flow choices do not establish a common protocol, app, pairing method or timing signal.
Test the sill, then test the badge
Test the sill on its own with the normal door state and selected Flow control. Record what happens when the door opens and which device responds. Then test the badge on its own while its mounting area remains accessible. Record the control action, visible result and any delay without changing the other device.
If both products show a static color choice, you can set the two devices to a visually similar color by hand. That is a viewing choice, not synchronization. If one device changes while the other stays still, record the symptom against the correct product rather than describing the pair as one failed system.
Keep the support record precise
Save separate screenshots of each product’s selected options. Include the order number, product ID, controller label, app information supplied with that item and a short video of each device responding alone. Do not name an app, operating-system requirement or reset sequence unless the selected order confirms it.
The LED license plate badge collection is a separate product route. For an app symptom, use the Flow badge support record. The plan stays honest when each controller, location and result has its own line.
